shelter workshop at project eden
architects without frontiers invited REFUNC to create a shelter and outdoor classroom from re-used materials together with local carpenter Rufus and architecture students.
We let the structure grow daily into dynamic shapes and rooflines. Process architecture and no drawings are fixed ideas allowed. The available recovered materials wood and tires influenced the design of the structure.
We decided to shape the roofed structure as a fringe haircut and treated it as if we were all hairdressers..
